Attic Insulation in the Victorian Attic

After doing a lot of research we’ve decided to do spray foam insulation. There are so many little holes, cracks, gaps and general odd spots in the house that we figured it was the best to remedy those. The first stop was the attic as a test case and I must say the results are absolutely amazing.

What started out as a very hot and drafty room turned into a nicely sealed space, and the room doesn’t get nearly as hot as it used to, even in the middle of summer. I was very impressed. Once the wiring/plumbing are done we’ll be able to do the rest of the house in the same way.

The insulation becomes structural when dry so it really firmed up the top of the house. Plus it has a nice Tudor look!
